Starting November 1st, 2014 Interfaith Works will continue our
long-standing tradition of providing overnight shelter to vulnerable
adults living on the streets of Olympia. We will be moving into
the basement area of First Christian Church to open the
Interfaith Works Emergency Overnight Shelter. The Family
Support Center shelter has been in that space for the past 5 years
and is moving into their new downtown facility! We are so happy
for them and wish them the very best as their program improves
Interfaith Works envisions an ultimate goal of providing one centralized and integrated site to serve a broad range of needs of adults living on our streets. As we work towards this goal we are committed to providing safe, overnight shelter to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. In the interim, the Interfaith Works Emergency Overnight Shelter at First Christian Church will meet this crucial need.
We would like to express very special thanks to First Christian Church. You have been stewards of hope, love and support in our community for so many living on the streets. Thank you so much for your action, dedication to justice and spirit in our community. It is truly radiant. We are excited to continue to foster a relationship with First Christian Church to help meet the needs of homeless adults on the streets of our city!
